Some things and stuff

Dear members,

  We are enjoying some wonderful weather right now but, it will change back to snow and cold as this is still winter. 😉 My 🐔's are doing fine this winter and giving sooo many eggs.

  I now have 2 button quails (M&F) and she has laid sooo many eggs and is now sitting on them. Don't know if they will  🐣 or not. Just have to wait and see.  It is a funny sight to see, she can't cover all the eggs. OH! Did I say I also now have a canary? Well, I do and it is singing right now and he sings every day all day. I have him in my sewing room. Just love his company and Frosty, as we talk back and forth most all day.

  This blog will be updated from time to time and little goodies will be left for you here and there.  This blog will not (at this time) allow me to upload a file in order for you to be able to download it. This is a drawback for me, but have to just work around it for now. Which means you have to send me an email and ask.  This will not happen too often. I do hope the blog will make some more changes for the better.

 I hope we can enjoy some quilting and other crafts. I will post different things as time goes by.

  I do hope you will enjoy our little "spot" in space and enjoy your stay with me and keeping up with me and my critters.

  I want to say that you can add your two cents worth on any post where it is allowed. I would love to hear from you all and what your thoughts are. So at the bottom of each post (where allowed), it will already be there at the bottom of the post. Please take the time to say a few words. ok

Happy New Year

Dear members,

I hope all are off on a good start to the new year.  We are having a heat wave, low 60's today, but I know it is still winter. 😉 I have worked on a set of outlines and have them ready. If you are in my crafting group you can get them there.

Does anyone in here want to work on a group project? Let me know ok.

I will have a few new designs coming before long as I feel the need to work in digitizing once again. I was taking a break from it for a while.

Tomato flowers & Penny

Morning everyone,

Here is an update on our pet chickens:
We lost Penny (our road island red chicken) a few days ago. She did not live long, but she was a sweet gal while with us.  We also lost our black rooster with the white head feathers and the guinea. We are down to 6 chickens which lay colored eggs. The colors are pink, brown, light green, olive green and white. The hens colors are 3 gray, 2 black, one speckled (black&white-polish hen).

I think today I will be outside planting some things and thumping my flowers on the tomato plants. I know there is sprays you can buy to spray your flowers but, you don't need that, all you have to do is 'thump'  or shake your open flowers once a day about noon or so to catch them when they are fully open. This will SET on the tomato fruit. Never misses~have all the tomatoes you ever want. :-)

Banana Nut Bread and Pumpkin Coffee

Hello everyone,

Well, today on a rainy day I am having some home made banana nut bread and a cup of pumpkin coffee. It is cool out today feels more like fall. But, I know this is going to pass and the heat will be here soon enough. Not a fan of heat after living in Alaska for over 30 some years.

A soon as my new eye glasses get here, I plan to look at some wood working. Have not been doing that for a long time because of my eyes. Quilting kinda goes hand and hand with that. It is amazing how much interest you loose in projects once you can not see them any longer. Until my eyes were done I could not see the dust in my house. I was living in my happy world of such a clean house all the time. Ugh!  Now that I can see again, I discovered that I had dust on my dust. Then I go into cleaning mode for real, still saying to myself, I just don't know how things got so dirty.

For now I am off to enjoy my banana nut bread and coffee. This will be my breakfast and lunch.
