Evening to all

Hello members,

Well, been gone doing this and that. Getting things ready to start some new things.

Hope all are doing ok and keeping warm. Crazy winter this year, really cold back to
in the '40s and '50s at times, rain and then snow and freezing, ya never know what
is coming next this winter.

As most of you know my sis and brother-in-law are having a battle with cancer and
that is taking a toll on each of us in different ways. So I am not really active right now.
Nita is hanging in there with chemo and surg to come later on, and Larry is taking a
pill a day and a shot every 6 months to fight his cancer. We are all praying that they can
fight the battle and come out the other side in good shape.

I do plan to put up some pics of the new items I have painted in wood. I just love it and plan to make one for Halloween. The one just done is for the 4th of July. Pics coming.

Still plan to work some more on the dog quilts for the no-kill shelter.

Good Afternoon

What ya all up to?

I am sitting in my sewing room watching it try to snow again, it is cold and windy right now. Yesterday was almost 60 temp outside. Crazy winter this year.

Sad info:
Both Nita and Larry are fighting cancer right now and my interest, for

now, is with my family. I know you can understand that!
I also just found out I have 2 cousins that are also fighting cancer and not expected to live much longer than a few weeks to months.

I am down in W.V. For a while. My sis is going through treatments for her sickness. So will not be posting for a while. Just letting you know what is going on. I am asking everyone for your prayers during this time.

Hello members,

Just a note to say I am getting ready to make many rescue blankets for a no-kill dog shelter. I just enjoy the idea of helping out the homeless pets. I am hoping I can get some donations from some fabric centers. May not also, just depends. I will make as many as I can.

So I am going to be very busy for a while. This will for sure use up all the scraps that I have on hand. I wanted to make some like crazy quilts and colored blocks.

So I am off to get the sewing room ready.

Morning everyone,

The days are cooler now and I am getting plants ready to come in for the winter. I must be getting older cause plants are getting heavier. 😇

Black cloud of red wing black birds

Morning all,

Wow! 😊The amount of red-winged blackbirds was unreal this morning, the yard was black and moving.  That was until Kricket seen them, then the black cloud flew away.

This happens each year toward the fall. They hang around for a while then they are gone. In
Anchorage, AK., it was the other kinds, the same thing though.

Anyone else bothered with humid days?  I feel like a bouncing water balloon. ugh!
