HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL

Hello everyone,

We are having a wonderful time here on our side of the mountain on Thanksgiving. Hoping all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving also. We are very thankful for many many things around our home. We thank God each and every day for all he has given us.

Our three chickens are going to have a wonderful lot of extra goodies also. We will be adding more chickens this spring because our old gals are taking the winter off, no eggs. I hate buying eggs in a store, they never taste the same.

The poor stray cat has come around after a whole year of not trusting us to at least hang around more and more. We now have a heated dog crate for him, and on these cold nights, he stays in there. Also, on rainy and snowy days, he is close by. He even sniffed my hand the other day, which means his head was only 2 inches from my hand. That is a first for him. He also disappeared for about 2 days a few days ago, when he did show up, he was limping very bad on a front foot. We could see no blood and of course, he would not let us get close to him and never "touch" him. So, there was nothing we could do except wait to see how he did as the days went by. Now he has only a slight limp on that front leg. So, he is getting better thank goodness. We think he either tangled with another loose cat that came around or a wild animal tried to get him. He is becoming more relaxed with us now.

Now that we have the whole property trimmed up and looking open and nice. We are hanging lights from the upper deck now and we will add some around the gazebo this year. We also will be adding our deer and Nita's deer around the yard along with our angel.

We had our first snow about 2 inches very wet. Later it turned to rain, and all was gone. That was about one week ago. Now the lights (blue & white) icicles will look lovely with snow.

Wishing all a wonderful Thanksgiving.

More pics of my accident

Hello everyone,

ok, as I said before I would add more pics, so here they are. Some will look worse than others as the bruising will start to show more as days go by. But by the end of the pics, the last one is the best. I am so happy to be out of rehab and on my way home. Feeling great and most grateful to all who helped me along this road of getting better.

The things you will not be able to see are the bruising that goes down my neck into my chest and lower. Other spots here and there where you will not be able to see, that even surprised me at times.

I have decided to show a few of the accident but not all.

Another baby dove

Hello to all,

Even though the accident I had, my lovely doves popped out another baby dove, it is grown and is waiting for its little friend who is still an egg for now. The new owner of the two babies is aware and waiting for them to be ready for their new home.

Not sure why my doves are only laying one egg at a time now, they hatch and raise it just not two eggs at a time for some reason I don't understand.

Here is the baby.
New baby while I was in hospital

Here he or she is grown up

So now we wait for the second egg to hatch and when it is ready, both babies will have their forever home.

The Accident

Hello everyone,

This happened on the 8th of July 2024. Seems like a long time ago now.
So how is everyone this lovely morning?
We are fine. But I wanted to post and let you know about my accident.

I love riding my etrike, her name is Autumn, and she is a Liberty Trike, but one must never forget what can happen in the blink of an eye.  All it takes is one second when things are off and your balance is not what it should be or you are just not thinking in the blink of an eye. It is in the blink of an eye that this happened.

I had been out for a lovely ride down to 310, turned and was started home, got home, and started up our steep driveway which I had ridden before with no problem. The front wheel got caught in the uneven driveway and the handlebar was jerked out of my hand, I reached up and grabbed it and had to have hit the throttle and the little bike turned around and headed down the driveway at an angle. I remember saying a prayer at the top of "drop", Dear God, please help me. I remember nothing until I woke at the hospital.
I went over the edge of our driveway and down about a 40-foot drop to the ditch and road below. My husband was standing on the driveway and saw the whole thing. When he got to me, he said I was unconscious, he went for a phone, and when he returned, I was yelling and moving around, said I could not breathe, and leaned me on my trike which was right beside me at the time. Waited for medics, who then took me to someplace on 310 hwy where a helicopter picked me up and flew me to trauma at Ruby Hospital where I woke up.

My face was broken up; my nose was broken. My collar bone splintered and broken, 7 ribs were broken all on the left side of my body and my left kneecap was split all the way open and my tendon was removed. My right knee to the inside of the leg had a 3-corner deep tear and was hanging open. My head and neck are still bothering me, and I know it will take a long time to heal.

All I know is that God protected me and is still helping me heal, I could have broken my neck from that fall or have been killed.

Following is a couple of pics of my accident. More pics will follow on different posts as time goes by.

The other side of my face

KNOW THIS:  God saved my life and has and still is protecting me from what could have happened. My body has healed so fast even the doctors are set back by how fast my recovery seems to be. I owe it all to GOD.

On the lighter side of all this, I had started a diet for a few days before this happened, and my husband now calls this my " CRASH DIET ", somewhat painfully, but I have lost around 34 to 38 pounds so far.

Love and Prayers,

Where have I been?

Hello everyone,

Sorry, been away for a bit, I will explain what has happened here in a bit.

I am doing ok with what all happened to me, I will have pics of what happened and of me as I am healing with the Lord's help.
I will have pics of most all days in hospital and rehab as I get better. So please stay tuned for more to come as I have the strength to sit at the computer and plug away at trying to get my story out for all to read.

I took a tumble off the side of our driveway and dropped 40 feet down to the ditch and roadway below. This happened on the 8 of July at about midday. I was on my trike for a ride when this happened.
I split my left kneecap in half and removed the tendon on it, broke the left 7 ribs, broke the left collarbone, broke the nose, and most of the left and front of my face bones. I now have metal in my knee and face, have not heard how long it all will be there.

Trust in the Lord to help us with everyday problems. I am alive because of Jesus and YES, he does answer prayer.

Love and Prayers,
 Margo

Below is a pic of me in rehab, walking and healing fast with our Lord's help.

Tree trimming

Hello all,

Well, now we have decided to limb-up some of the trees around here to "open the area" up so more air can flow through.

After the work is done, I love it now, we can see under the trees from the upper deck. It is so nice around here now. New upper deck with a roof, some trees removed, others limbed up some, grass cut, and this place looks unreal, not the same place. We have also now got a heater inside the garage, nice for the wintertime. We have a new 100 gal. water heater because there is a huge walk-in tub in the master bathroom, requires a larger tank to fill the tub with hot water. We also have had the air and heat all redone with one piece unit. Most of the yard is now fenced and it is working to keep the deer away from our home and plants. We have a huge fenced-in yard for the chickens and a very nice and safe place for them in the wintertime. The place is now like Fort Knox now and I can rest easy from now on. No more losses from raccoons and opossums.

The inside of the home is now getting cleaned out and items placed where they need to be and all the excess is gotten rid of. My sister's home has now become our home and we can feel and see the difference. We also just got all the clocks repaired (Nita collected many) and they are all keeping the same time. We also got the ducts in the home all cleaned out. We had a chimney sweep come and clean out the chimney, so now when winter comes we are ready to sit back and just enjoy.

We also got rid of all the cars around here and got us a new Jeep pumpkin orange in color. Love it. We got it toward the end of last year.

Hello to all,

Now I have some new doves and they have little ones, and I have found a forever home for them.

May 2024
My new baby doves-they found a home.

Was not planning on them coming along, but I got them a great home with a Lady who has other doves and critters and chickens. She will be here to get them on Saturday.
